Ever since its  inception in  1977,   UPDESCO has made consultancy services available in various fields to the Government and to International organisations like International Labour Organisation (ILO), UNICEF,   The  World  Bank,  Royal Government  of  Netherlands,   Japan International Co-operation Agency, The European Union and ODA etc.

Over  the  years  UPDESCO   has  completed  more  than  400  assignments,  valued   at about Rs 108.3  millions,  including  provision of   technical support  to the  Uttar Pradesh Government  in computerisation  of   its  multifarious  activities through  a wide range of personal computers, operation and maintenance of mainframe Computer Systems.
